Introduction

DESCON Technical Institute (DTI) is a non-profit technical trainings Institute in Lahore, Pakistan. It operates under the umbrella of DESCON Engineering &provide high-quality technical education to young people from underprivileged backgrounds.

NEBOSH IGC Course

DTI is the first Institute of Pakistan with Gold status with NEBOSH for NEBOSH IGC, which is a globally recognized qualification for safety professionals. The course is designed to help you get a job in safety by providing you with the knowledge and skills you need to manage risk, improve workplace safety, and protect workers.

At DTI, the NEBOSH IGC Course is a 4-week course that is delivered in face-to-face format. The face-to-face instruction provides you with the opportunity to interact with your instructors and fellow students.

 

 

Session START DATE :  At the start of every month 

Admission Criteria:-Bachelor degree or parallel degree Or  good English writing skills, have to pass English writing test.

Admission Procedure:-Student should fill admission Form and undergo through  English written Test. Admission office will issue fee challan for qualifying students.

A) For English writing test, you have to come to DTI from Mon-Friday between 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm. Sat & Sunday is off.

B)-English Assessment Test - One or two general topics are given to students and asked to write one or two pages in his own writing. It is assessed that student can express his thoughts in English paras.

Documents Required:- Copy of last degree, 3-photo, copy of CNIC

Duration of Classes:- 4–Weeks face-to-face physical classes at DTI, currently online classes not available 

Class Timing:-08.30AM – 02.30PM (Saturday-Sun off)

Medium of Instruction:-Urdu & English

Course Fee:

Total fee is 130k in two installments with one-month difference. Fee challan will be issued by admission office and fee can be submitted in any branch of Meezan Bank.

Liabilities:

 DTI will provide registration with NEBOSH, physical classes, course books, tutor notes, bag, note book.

Accommodation:

Private hostels seats are available at nearby distance @ Rs.3500 to 4500 per month

Course Syllabus:-

Book-1 Management of Health & Safety with chapters 1. Why manage workplace Health & Safety, 2. Health & safety Management system, 3. Managing Risk, 4. HSE Monitoring & Measurement)

Book-2 Workplace Risk Assessment containing elements 5. Physical and Psychological Hazards, 6. Musculoskeletal Health, 7. Chemical & Biological agents, 8. General Workplace Issues, 9. Work Equipment, 10. Fire, 11. Electricity and guide of IG2 Risk assessment report.

Course Exam:

NEBOSH Exam are scheduled in first week of every month, IG1 Paper is Open book online scenario based paper with 24-hours’ time, can be taken from any location. IG2 Risk Assessment Report has to submit at email within ten days of IG1 paper.

Upcoming Exam.

After completion of one month classes, Exam are conducted on 1st week of every month 

Course Result:

Results are declared after two months of Exam, NEBOSH directly email result to students.

Certificate:

NEBOSH sends certificate to DTI & It takes about 3-4 weeks after result announcement. Further, students can receive their certificates from DTI admission office by showing CNIC.
